Rainbow Fish

Written and illustrated by Marcus Pfister in 1992, The Rainbow Fish is loved worldwide for its beautiful illustrations and the values it imparts to children of sharing and acceptance. Rainbow Fish is a multi-colored fish with "dazzling, shimmering scales". Although he was the "most beautiful fish in the entire ocean", he was the lonliest fish until he realized external beauty is far less important than the happiness gained from sharing and the company of friends.
